The Saskatchewan Public Interest Theatre Company, in partnership with Briarpatch Magazine, is launching its next production: “The Austerity Monologues.”
Styled after the iconic play The Vagina Monologues, SPIT will seek out the stories of how people across Saskatchewan will be impacted by the Saskatchewan Party’s callous austerity budget. Once stories have been selected, SPIT will dramatize them and add in elements of both tragedy and comedy.
Please contact SPIT:
- If you have stories to tell
- If you want to volunteer for this exciting project
- If your community would like to put on a production of The Austerity Monologues

Briarpatch, headquartered on Treaty 4 territory in Regina, is excited to partner on this project in our home province. We look forward to getting important stories heard by audiences in many affected communities.
