Dr. Manuela Valle-Castro holds a PhD in gender, race, sexuality and social justice, and a MA in women’s and gender studies from UBC. Growing up in Chile under Pinochet’s dictatorship shaped her views as an anti-neoliberal feminist, as well as her commitment for social justice and human rights in Latin America.
