In October of 2023, Ivy & Dean Consulting ran sessions with key Briarpatch folks both past and present. From these consultations, and further work with the current Briarpatch Board of Directors, 4 key priority areas for the magazine to turn its attention to were identified:
- Working Conditions
- Board Engagement
- Financial Sustainability
- Provincial (Saskatchewan) / National Balance
It is in the spirit of the achievement of these important goals that you’ll be hearing a lot from us over the next few years. It’s a big undertaking and we’ll be looking to you all for your support and patience.

If you in particular have an interest or expertise in strategic plans in non-profit or publication spheres, love project management and that serotonin boost you get when you cross something off your list, come join our Board! We are looking to fill three positions to help us with implementing this strategic plan and enable our plucky little magazine to continue delivering trustworthy grassroots reporting and analysis, while ensuring our work and workplace reflects the values we champion.

Attending the AGM
The AGM will be held on November 20, 2024 at 7 p.m. CST (Regina time) on Zoom.
To attend the AGM, you must be a Briarpatch member. To become a Briarpatch member, we require a $1 membership fee. You can pay your membership fee by e-transfer to publisher [at] briarpatchmagazine.com, or you can drop by our office at 2138 McIntyre Street in Regina, SK during business hours to pay with cash or a cheque.
Submitting a motion
Have a motion you’d like the Briarpatch community to consider? To submit a motion for our membership to consider, please send it via email to chair [at] briarpatchmagazine.com by November 14, 2024.
Join our board of directors
