It also matches the principles of Grameen bank, the populist bank responsible for micro finance programs in India, and which was not affected by the wall street crash.

The independent worker idea also makes me think of the "Results only work environment", as described in the book "why work sucks and how to fix it". It also makes me think of Womenomics, the book that describes how today's outdated work schedules clash with the multiple roles of professional women. 

It's nice to see those ideas converge, thanks again.
