Depression...while it may be uncomfortable to live with, could actually be normal or expected at times and it really gives me hope about humanity...hope that we're not all just a bunch of mindless consumer robots and that what indicates a successful life exclusively in materialistic terms is just not quite cutting it. We need something deeper...more real..real heart connections with spirit, this planet and each other...we need to differentiate between what love is as opposed to temporary lust...we need to go back to our source because we've left it far behind and we are paying for it. We need to own up to the fact that life isn't always a walk thru the park..there is real pain..real tragedy..real suffering..this is a hard place to grow up in spiritually.

People want to medicate their depression...eliminate it...wipe it away...eradicate it.. But, depression may be just what the soul needs to realize the lack of satisfication with a highly materialistic focus...depression has a lesson to teach in the dark night of the soul, but there are very few people who are willing to face it and sit with it. We think that we should always be happy and smiling like those shiny people on tv..we think that life should have resolutions like the plot of a movie or a character in a book. But sometimes, living is just going to suck..and nothing outside of ourselves is going to fix it...not medication...not those face creams on tv...not your latest electronic gadget...

So, vive la depression...it's about time people started questioning what society deems to be the source of happiness..success...it's about time that we realize how oppressed and manipulated we have been...and to realize that you're an unwilling slave to your alarm clock..well, hell, that's pretty damn depressing, isn't it.
