Thanks to Mr. Collier for this invaluable story and comment on the history of Canada's Medicare system.
I am a senior, who during the 1930's required several continuing years of critical medical treatment. This was prior to todays's Medicare system. I am a strong supporter of Medicare. However, there must be further study and review, and new regulations put in place that will ensure Medicare continues to be publicly funded and administered.
I owe my life to the medical profession, but feel humanity has gone out of health care as we know it today!
