Its God's own truth what you say about bigotry against the poor and poor women, especially in western provinces. Does everyone really have to work like a slave to make a decent living in a country as rich as this with all the technology (non-human work) we apply to gaining a living for humans from this land? More so when there aren't enough formal jobs to go around, yet more than abundant wealth to sustain everyone is produced! People are poor and hungry in this wealthy country because the immigrant mainstream society cannot cast off its feudal past. The thinking of policy makers is still very much the thinking of starving abused feudal european peasants and without surprise it produces fuedal poverty in a modern high tech and very wealthy country. This society, these peasants on the throne, need poor people to maintain the status quo. Quite simply far too many people in Canada need poor people in order to feel good about themselves and their lot in life! Keep it up Bonnie! Great work Bonnie! I'm going to use this when I reply to MP Ralph Goodale, when he recently gave me a weak response to my letter on poverty from the Make Poverty History Campaign. His political party had over a decade to fix the injustices created by its own policies and thefts from working people in federal budgets of 1993-94 and 1994-95. Great little article!
