		<description>Well, it *is* an editorial, and it takes aim at an established position with the intention of ruffling feathers, so I'll gladly wear the "polemic" charge. And it's also an introduction to a series of articles that provide some of the "real data," so I didn't really see the need to go into much detail here.

		<description>Greetings - This article is a polemic, which is fine, nothing like a little rant, but there is a dearth of information. Not just from here, but from the main stream media as well. If we Canadaians are engaged in an overseas adventure, we need some real data about that adventure. 
     Something, I would like to know, relating to my part of the country, B.C., is how many RCMP are there in Haiti. We are being told that we are short of police here, that it is a crsis. If so, bring back those cops. Canada first naturally. Can't save the world if we are unable to maintain our own security. After all, it is, we are told, a big fund requiring cr$i$. best - vern</description>
